Hello, I am Noah
Role: project manager. A parent. An expat residing in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Netherlands wasn’t in the long-range plan. As with many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, new routines, fresh expectations. Daily chores seemed more complex than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
Culture shock, doubt, and a steep learning curve were part of it. Yet over time, routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt dependable.
Why I Built MellowRiverMark
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to close that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Netherlands.
